Dhyan is the historian of her own family. Inspired by the Foxfire Book Series at 19, she set out with a tape recorder to record the memories of her only remaining grandparent. Since then she has written personal histories of other family members and ancestors, curated the family photo collection, and helped her father write two books, one on his career and the other on his WWII memories.
Dhyan thoroughly recognizes the joy and intrinsic value of saving family stories, pictures, personal memories, and genealogical information. She calls it “Saving the Lives” of the people you love.
Dhyan’s business has specialized since 2003 in teaching essential business skills and marketing to the memory saving professionals of the world: personal historians, genealogists, oral historians, scrapebookers and other memory savers since 1995. She has taught and worked with over 250 personal historians alone.
